A Pakistani actress's appearance in the nude on the cover of an Indian magazine with the initials of the country's powerful intelligence agency tattooed on her arm is triggering fury across this conservative country.
Veena Malik's photo on the cover of the December issue of FHM India has lit up social networking websites Twitter and Facebook since Friday. Many here anticipate a backlash, as nationalists and Islamists regularly stage rallies against anything they deem an insult to Islam or to the national honor.
India and Pakistan have fought three wars, and the Inter-Services Intelligence agency or ISI has been accused of sponsoring terrorist attacks inside India.
